The Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon™ is proud to support local and national charities making a difference in the world.
We have teamed up with the Grand Strand Humane Society to create several programs to fund raise for their cause, including the Doggie Dash and High Heel Run on Saturday, October 22. All net proceeds from these two events will go directly to the Society. If you cannot attend these events but you still want to support this great cause, donate here.
The Grand Strand Humane Society takes in animals brought in by the City of Myrtle Beach Animal Control as well as those brought into the shelter by members of the community. They are committed to the care and humane treatment of all homeless and abandoned animals. They are further committed to providing excellent guest service to those people visiting our facilities in the hope that all our animals can find caring and loving homes. They also work at educating our community about responsible pet ownership and finally, to investigate and attempt to prevent cruelty to all animals.
Official Charity Training Groups:
Runners can also choose from an array of charities and run for a cause. The partnerships between races like ours and these charity training programs raise millions of dollars every year. Our goal in the Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon™ is to help these charity groups fund raise, and inspire our runner.
