Doggie Dash General Information
You do not like to run alone? No problem, bring out your four legged friend and participate in the 1.5-mile Doggie Dash. Dog owners of all ages enjoy a relaxing walk or a competitive race with their favorite pet. Designed specifically for dog owning participants, the Doggie Dash lets you support the Grand Strand Humane Society with your pet by your side. The most important fact is that the net proceeds of this event will benefit the Grand Strand Humane Society. So come on out with your party shoes and support our four legged friends.
| Note: Please note that all dogs on site during this event will need to be on a leash, including but not limited to the Doggie Dash event itself. Also consider how your dog interacts with other people and dogs. If you have doubts as to the possible behavior of your dog, please just enjoy the Coastal 5K! |

The Doggie Dash will take place at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunnes located at 1499 Grande Dunes Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC (Map)
All participants will need to wear their bib number and their timing chip in order to compete. Race packets with the bib numbers and timing chips can be pickets up at the following locations and times:
Doggie Dash participants will be able to pick up their race packets either on Friday, October 22 at the Health & Fitness Expo from noon to 7pm, or on site on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 7:00am to 8:15am on site. Packet pick up will close 15 minutes before the event. Plan ahead and be there early.

Shirts for this event will be sold separately by the Grand Strand Humane Society as a further fundriaser. Support their cause and visit their booth at the Health & Fitness Expo.
Once you finish running, there's a still lot to do at the Finish Line! Come join us for some post race snacks and stay around to watch the Halloween Doggie Parade and support the Grand Strand Humane Society and our most loyal four legged friends. It is bound to a morning of running fun!
Parking
There is plenty of parking at the start/finish line but come early and enjoy a great running day!
Age Groups and Awards
Custom medals will be awarded to the top 5 participants to cross the finish line. And all pouches get finisher ribbons. The Awards Ceremony will take place at 9:30 am. If you are not present to collect your award and you want us to send you the award by mail, please click here to download the Awards Claim Form and send it in with the appropriate fee for shipping and handling. |
