Course Information
Half Marathon Course Overview
This amazing course was designed to bring you the best of Myrtle Beach. From its famous amusement parks and pristine parkways to some of the nation’s most visited beaches, the course takes you on a tour of one of America’s most scenic beach communities.
Start at Coastal Granc Mall and get pumped up with an amazing start including a Medieval Times regal celebration and being sent off by the king and his knights on their horses as they lead you to your personal running crusade. This course is flat and fast, fast, fast! The next stretch takes you thru coastal Carolina’s typical beach communities and towards the very eclectic Broadway at the Beach with its own amusement park, stores and restaurants, all in their own diverse and exciting styles. Then head east further north on Grissom and past some typical southeren architecture around the Track & Field Stadium and then head east until you reach the beach, make a right on Ocean and absorb the energy from the ocean! Breathe in the fresh sea air as you continue south making your way through typical beach stores and cafes lined up with spectators, cheering you on, as you make your final strides towards the new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and the last mile of the race. And as you enter the boardwalk look to the right to enjoy the view of the 2nd Avenue Pier then turn left and run the last ½ mile on the brand new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk with the sandy beach immediately to your right and adoring fans to the left pushing towards the finish at Plyler Park where the Beach Party begins.
