High Heel Run
General Information
This is the craziest run ever! Ladies do it every day….life in heels is a fact for them so why not run in heels. What a spectacle it will be! Ladies and a brave man here and there, will compete to be the High Heel champion at Myrtle Beach. This race will consist of an 80 meter dash to the finish line and all competitors must wear heels which are at least 2.75 inches high. Top 5 finishers will place and be crowned as Myrtle Beach’s first ever High Heel Champs. And aside from the unusual but fun nature of this event, the most important fact is that the net race entry proceeds of this event will benefit the Grand Strand Humane Society. So come on out with your party shoes and support our four legged friends.
100% of race entry fees for the High Heel Race go to the Grand Strand Humane Society. If you cannot attend but still want to support this great cause, donate here.

Rain or Shine!
- Participants may be of either gender
- Minimum age of participants for the event is 18 years of age
- Participants MUST wear Stiletto heels
- Stiletto shoe refers to a show a type of shoe heel which is thin, pointy and high
- The shoe should raise the heel significantly above the toes
- The shoes must be at least 2.75 inches high and no more than .6 inches wide at the front tip
- Platform shoes are NOT allowed
The High Heel Run is an 80 meter dash that will take place at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes located at 1499 Grande Dunes Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC.
All participants will need to wear their bib number in order to compete. Race packets with the bib numbers can be picked up at the following locations and times:
High Heel Run participants will be able to pick up their race packets either on Friday, October 19 at the Health & Fitness Expo from 2pm to 7pm, or on site on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 7:00am to 8:15am. Packet pick up will close 15 minutes before the event. Plan ahead and be there early.

Shirts for this event will be sold separately by the Grand Strand Humane Society as a further fundriaser. Support their cause and visit their booth at the Health & Fitness Expo.
Once you finish running, there's a still lot to do at the Finish Line! Come join us for some post race snacks and stay around to watch the Doggie Dash and support the Grand Strand Humane Society and our most loyal four legged friends. It is bound to a morning of running fun!
There is plenty of parking at the start/finish line but come early and enjoy a great running day!
Age Groups and Awards
Custom medals will be awarded to the top 5 participants to cross the finish line. A race official will be at finish line and all top participants will have the height of their high heels verified to ensure compliance with the 2.75 inch minimum heel height.
The Awards Ceremony will take place at 9:00 am. If you are not present to collect your award and you want us to send you the award by mail, please click here to download the Awards Claim Form and send it in with the appropriate fee for shipping and handling.
